Presenting Baby Einstein Take Along Tunes
Baby Einstein Take Along Tunes will keep babies as young as three months occupied and amused. The lights and music are both soothing and exciting. The musical toy comes with a set of demo batteries.
There are alternative toys available. I’ve looked at these alternatives and my vote is still with the Take Along Tunes.
The Baby Einstein DJ Musical Take Along is equally colorful and distracting but the setup of the sliders which operate the sound is better suited to an older child of twelve months or more. The Baby Einstein Guitar is likewise suited to a bigger child.
An alternative toy that does target younger babies is the “Light Desire” musical caterpillar, a colorful toy worm that sings a tune. It also contains bells for baby’s amusement. In my book, this toy will not have the same ability to entertain as the Baby Einstein Take Along Tunes as it has no lights and nor the variety of tunes.
This toy has a number of advantages and is surprisingly short on disadvantages. I’ve listed them below.
- Volume control means that mom can control the level of sound
- Plays a choice of seven melodies
- It has large buttons so changing from one song to the next is easy, even for little hands
- This is a reasonably priced toy
- The toy is easy to grasp and carry.
- The tunes last for less than a minute.
