Dareway Revolution Segway Review
The Dareway Revolution is the upgraded version of the original Dareway. With the Dareway Revolution Segway, indulge the kids and their inquisitive nature in exploring the outdoors.
The Dareway Revolution is the upgrade we’ve been waiting for since the debut of the Dareway scooter. Made by Italian manufacturer Famosa, the debut of the original Dareway received excellent reviews when it was first marketed to the public.
While many people might assume the Dareway costs as much as a Segway, rest assured, the price tag for this upgrade is still relatively affordable.
Inspired by the Segway version for adults, the Dareway Revolution Segway is an upright two-wheeled motor scooter suitable for children between 5 and 10 years. The motorized scooter can withstand weights up to 89 pounds.
However, it is advisable to maintain body weight below the maximum. Additional weight may cause the scooter to malfunction.
The manually operated Dareway comes installed with an internal 12-volt battery. The Left and right buttons allow the rider to steer the scooter easily.
Like its predecessor, the Dareway can make 360° turns and retains the foot pedal accelerator. As a standing unit, the scooter is about 30 inches in height when assembled. To move in reverse, the rider has to push both buttons simultaneously. To brake, lift off the accelerator, and the scooter will halt.
Features Of the Dareway Revolution Scooter
And now, to explore the new features of the Dareway Revolution scooter! From the list of technical tweaks to this upgrade, it is clear that the manufacturers have taken user feedback quite seriously by implementing various add-ons. While it may not have mattered much for the previous users, we are sure that the battery gauge in this new and improved version will be of use now. The battery gauge alerts riders with three status colors: green, yellow, and red. It could prove helpful, especially if kids want to avoid manually pushing the Dareway Revolution after an adventure.
On top of that, a new streamlined handlebar allows riders to adjust three different heights. This streamlined handlebar supports riders, provides a more comfortable riding experience, and suits children of varying weights. Tire rubber grips are also a new addition to help traction and ensure a smooth riding experience. The Dareway Revolution also claims to be 40% faster than the original Dareway, which could travel at 3.7 mph. Based on rough calculations, we will concede that the new model can travel at a speed of 5.2 mph.
And last but not least, the new Dareway Revolution is also equipped with an in-built sound system. Music lovers can enjoy the convenience of an audio jack and speakers and have their favorite tunes on the go.
Pro
- Height adjustments- Up to 3 levels
- Speakers and MP3/iPhone holder
- A power meter that shows battery level
- A maximum speed of approximately 5 miles per hour

- Moving up an incline can be challenging
For those who have experienced the Dareway, we would suggest getting this upgrade to the Dareway Revolution. While the original Dareway ticked off many boxes for those opting for a more affordable scooter, the enhanced Dareway Revolution has excellent additions. All these new and improved features would be an enjoyable experience for kids who love exploring the outdoors.
We hope this dareway scooter and dareway revolution reviews will help you decide which dareway to buy for your child.
I am highly disappointed.. it was a gift where can I return it.
Sorry to hear that :(. If you purchased from Amazon, you can return it there. Also would you mind leaving a reply about why you were disappointed below. Would help other buyers looking to buy this toy.
Purchased this for my 8 yrs old. Highly disappointed.
Firstly it has plastic tires so it spins in place way more often than actually going anywhere.
2nd it doesn’t have a gentle or slow start, it jerks real fast. My child got slung off it the first time.
3rd it supposed to hold about 90 lbs. But a child at 55lbs made the front drag the ground anytime she would lean forward.
4th being a “child’s” ride you would think it would be easier to maneuver. But no, it has a foot button to make it go, then the handlebars you press the left button to go left or the right button to go right, rather dangerous if you ask me for it being a child’s ride on toy.
I DO NOT recommend this. It’s dangerous, takes off fast, will sling your child off and can easily confuse a child on how to stop.
For example: I’m so very glad I was right there with my child the first time she was actually able to get it to go because she got scared when it took off, spun to the side, she panicked and kept pressing the foot pedal and almost drove into the ditch.
As I said very lucky I was right with her as I jumped in front and stopped it and her or she could have been badly hurt. To make things worse it was nearly $250 and because we couldn’t get outside soon enough to test it out due to the weather, the 30 days are up which we could return it. So all that money gone. These people should really be ashamed for making such a product.
Trying to buy a new charger for ours. Can anyone help me find where to find one?
